The demographic shift is tilting the balance between working population and retirees. To counter the talent shortage, employers focus on <a href=\"https:\/\/karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-employer-branding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">employer branding<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-talent-development\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">talent development<\/a>, and skilled immigration. At the same time, there&#8217;s renewed interest in well-qualified mothers \u2013 and in professionals aged 50 and above.<\/p>\n<h2>From early retirement to extended work lives<\/h2>\n<p>Early retirement used to be a coveted goal \u2013 today, many professionals consider staying in the workforce beyond retirement age. With pension ages rising toward 70, our view of <a href=\"https:\/\/karrierecoaching.ch\/en\/glossary-career\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">career<\/a> stages is changing. A\u00a0person starting their real career at 30 is only halfway through at 50. Companies and society must rethink how they support and engage experienced staff.
